Leadership and Operational Acumen
This role demands robust leadership extending beyond basic supervision to active team development strategic oversight and driving operational excellence. The Sous Chef is expected to run the kitchen day-to-day under the Head Chef and manage stock and cleanliness. These operational duties are professionally articulated as:
Furthermore the desire for the Sous Chef to lead our team to daily wins translates professionally to a requirement for a proactive approach to achieving operational excellence and continuous improvement. This person is responsible for stepping in when the Head Chef is off duty or on leave.
You will need to understand and cater for special dietary requirements including healthcare and high-end food. This role requires unique and niche skills.
You will be supported by a wonderful hardworking team that already has a solid routine and a lot of experience.
