Job Description
Our client based in Pietermaritzburg is currently seeking dedicated professional and customer-focused Cashiers to join their team. We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked as cashiers for at least 2 years in a large store. If you are passionate about retail have a great work ethic and enjoy engaging with customers we would love to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately process all cash card and mobile transactions
- Provide friendly helpful and efficient service at the till point
- Handle returns refunds and exchanges in line with store policy
- Keep your till area clean organised and well-stocked
- Ensure proper till balancing at the start and end of your shift
- Report any till discrepancies or technical issues immediately
- Assist with basic customer queries and direct them to appropriate departments when needed
- Work as part of a team to maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements:
- The candidate must have matric Certificate
- 2 years experience as a cashier in a major retail store
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Able to work well under pressure in a busy retail environment
- Must be honest reliable and punctual
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
