A leading aviation services company is looking for an experienced Responsible Person Aircraft (RPA) with strong experience in aircraft maintenance regulatory compliance and technical operations to join their team in Lanseria. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence have extensive knowledge of SACAA compliance requirements and demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills to ensure safe and efficient aeroplane operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all maintenance and inspection personnel and sign Part D of the operations specifications.
Ensure company aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition.
Ensure all inspections repairs and component changes follow manufacturer-approved procedures.
Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures airworthiness directives service bulletins and relevant regulations.
Ensure maintenance technicians are trained current certified and supervised according to regulatory requirements.
Produce and amend the policy and procedures manual.
Coordinate with maintenance contractors when work is performed on company aircraft.
Provide the operations manager with current airworthiness status and forecast downtime.
Maintain close liaison with manufacturers parts suppliers repair facilities and SACAA.
Provide necessary technical data and manuals to maintenance personnel.
Maintain all work records logbooks and aircraft permanent maintenance records.
Maintain mass and balance records for all aircraft.
Complete and submit all required reports to the operations manager for SACAA submission.
Requirements:
Grade 12.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence issued in terms of Part 66.
Engineering degree in aeronautics electrical mechanical or avionics (advantageous) with 5 years experience in aviation after qualification.
At least 2 years experience in an executive aviation position or as a Quality Manager in aviation.
Direct experience with SACAA compliance audits for at least 1 year.
No history within the past 5 years of holding a similar position where approval was suspended or cancelled due to non-compliance.
Experience in aircraft tracking systems (e.g. CAMP AvDex Traxxall Textron My Pilatus Centre Honeywell Pratt and Whitney).
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
Excellent time management dedication and commitment.
