GENERAL MISSION/NHIM V CHUNG

• The Pool/Gym Attendant instructs guest in the operation of a wide variety of cardio and fitness equipment monitors orderly operation of the fitness room and provides routine checks to ensure working order of fitness equipment. As well they will oversee the pool area to ensure the safety of all guests and will maintain the cleanliness in swimming deck and surrounding facilities.

• Pool/Gym Attendants provide customer service and ensure guest safety comes first at the pool/gym areas. Responsibilities include maintaining the pool area in a clean and orderly condition; cleaning and sanitizing pool area for guests and hotel staffs; following procedures to open and close the pool every day; observing the guests in the pool area to ensure pool and general safety regulations are followed.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ TRCH NHIM CHUYN MN

• Pool/Gym Attendants are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean aquatic recreational area fitness room for guests. They are often expected to assist lifeguards in helping swimmers in danger. Their more common duties include measuring chemical levels of swimming pool and ensuring they are within safety requirements at all times.

• Observing the guests in the pool area to ensure pool fitness and general safety regulations are followed; maintaining deck furniture in a clean and orderly fashion; stacking chairs and transporting to assigned areas; and inspecting deck chairs on a daily basis for condition of straps (if damaged heavily stained or missing replacing immediately).

Gives priority to guest relations while taking care to administrative procedures. Pool Attendants are responsible for measuring the chlorine and PH levels of the pool or pools under their supervision and then documenting their readings in a log book. Pool Attendant has to follow and check chemicals stocked in store and request Engineer to order if there is little inventory. They are also responsible for making chemical adjustments if the readings are outside of the safety range. Pool Attendants often take these measurements and report to Supervisor HOD OM and related departments.

• Regularly Clean Pool Filters / Thng xuyn v sinh ti lc h bi

A Pool filters easily get clogged by oils hairs and natural debris. It is the Pool Attendants responsibility to regularly clean these filters as well as to use the skimmer to remove debris from the pool.

Pool Attendants must be able to address irregular Chlorine and PH Levels. When Chlorine and PH Levels are irregularly should contact immediately to Engineer Department to solve.

This is one of the Pool Attendants most important duties. They are responsible for making each guest aware of the pool rules and calling out those who break these rules. Pool Attendants have to have good interpersonal skills to sense inter-guest conflicts before they escalate.

This duty is not as common as the other duties on this list but it is included because of its importance. If a guest defecates or vomits or there is broken glass in the pool the health and safety requires Pool Attendants to shock the pool in order to kill all bacteria and clean as hotels SOP. This makes the pool un-swimmable for a period of time.

The role of a gym attendant is to be out in the fitness area interacting with guest. A gym attendant is responsible for greeting guest and maintaining a healthy positive relationship with them. The attendant is expected to be able to answer guest questions about fitness health safety and equipment usage.

The fitness attendant is there in the event of an emergency or if someone gets hurt. The attendant is also able to watch how individuals are using the machines provide spots and offer tips to members. Informs guests about the formalities any particular conditions relating to their stay and the available services in the hotel.

To prevent injuries and improper use of equipment Gym attendant might require guest to go through an equipment orientation. A gym attendant shows guest how to use all the equipment in the fitness center at the one-on-one orientation. Guest has the chance to test cardio equipment and see how the various programs work as well as practice correct form on weight training machines and free weights. It is also an opportunity for the new member to ask any fitness or health-related questions.

Fitness equipment requires daily maintenance. Gym attendants are responsible for wiping down and sanitizing the equipment every day. This prevents the spread of germs and keeps the machines running efficiently. Gym attendants should also monitor the equipment for broken parts and report any problems to Supervisor and related departments immediately. If necessary Gym attendants will place signs on the machine so exercisers do not use the machine while it is broken.
