Job Description
Job Title: COBOL Mainframe Developer (JCL DB2 Control-M AWS Postgres Kofax)
Location: Blvd NE Atlanta (Onsite - Local to Metro Atlanta)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities:- Translate analysis design documents and specifications into robust well-structured programs.
- Maintain and enhance custom-developed software by modifying and testing user data entry screens batch processes reports queries and menus.
- Review existing code data and business processes to support non-database functions.
- Execute test program changes update test files run tests review results and validate changes against requirements.
- Identify and correct data errors using application logic; develop analytical and summary reports using IBM and Microsoft tools.
- Assist in the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
- Prepare detailed program-level and user-level documentation.
- Optimize software to improve efficiency and reduce operating time following organizational guidelines for code management and deployment.
- 5 years of COBOL development on mainframe systems including JCL development and maintenance.
- Proficiency with COBOL DB2 JCL Control-M.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (design development testing deployment).
- Strong troubleshooting testing and debugging skills.
- Experience producing accurate program-level and user-level documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to obtain user sign-off before production migration.
- Familiarity with organizational processes for source code check-out migration and deployment.
- Java programming knowledge.
- AWS hands-on experience.
- Postgres DB experience.
- Experience with Kofax solutions.
