Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren Michigan three times per week at minimum.

What Youll Do
- Lead the creation and execution of advanced 3D FEA and/or 1D models to evaluate dynamics and NVH analysis for propulsion components.
- Generate engine loads and provide to partners within our organization (Vehicle N&V Team Drive Quality Team etc.)
- Generate technical solutions for current and future programs to meet N&V performance targets while meeting mass and cost targets
- Utilize Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology to identify drive and optimize critical procedures and designs.
- Assist in developing new CAE techniques by developing evaluating and customizing new simulation tools software and procedures related to modeling solver parameters and material characterization.
- Collaborate closely with Noise & Vibration Integration Engineers and cross-functional teams to influence design and performance
- Provide insightful analysis to guide design decisions and improve product performance.
- Participate in product development meetings contributing to new major and minor design initiatives.
- Stay ahead of emerging CAE tools and trends.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Physics or related
3 years of CAE N&V/FEA experience preferably using ABAQUS Optistruct AMESim Hypermesh Simlab MBD or other similar methods for analysis
5 years of professional engineering experience
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Design development and optimization of Driveline Torsional models
Good understanding of establishing loads and boundary conditions for modeling and analysis.
Good Background in Dynamics / Noise & Vibration as it applies to propulsion systems.
Familiarity with a variety of CAE tools (such as AMESim HyperMesh OPTISTRUCT ANSA ADAMS Actran Python and/or Matlab etc.)
NVH laboratory testing experience with LMS Test. Lab software and/or other data acquisition instrumentation
