Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Coordinator Engagement and Partnerships STATUS: Exempt FT GRADE: 4 DEPT: Safety & Wellness Division PROGRAM: SVSS/Education & Training REPORTS TO: Manager Education Services SUPERVISES: Contractors Interns Volunteers SALARY: $

SUMMARY: Applying a gender and racial equity approach this position is responsible for cultivating promoting and fostering strong relationships with diverse organizations with a focus on reducing the impact of violence and social determinants of poor health. Activities may include development scheduling and implementation of engagement events trainings and workshops that contribute to ending gender-based violence community violence and health and racial inequities. The coordinator actively supports the promotion of constructive collaboration across YWCA programs.

COLLABORATES WITH: Collaborates with all YWCA programs and stakeholders and community partners.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Solution Oriented Content Development & Training Delivery: Continually enhance existing YWCA Sexual Violence Support Services programs with a focus on gender-based violence services to develop competitive in person virtual and self-directed solutions to meet marketplace needs and demands for trainings and workshops. Engage higher education organizations community groups businesses professional and religious organizations about sexual violence training opportunities. Plans and presents professional trainings for school personnel students and other industry professionals; maintain on-going relationships with educational institutions and organizations within the local service area. Collaborates with trainers to organize and deliver 40 hour Sexual Assault & Crisis Intervention Training. Support the implementation of partner and customer agreements to ensure deliverables are achieved within stated timelines. Community Engagement: Proactively builds and maintains relationships with various stakeholders to increase awareness and support for Sexual Violence Support Services and all YWCA programs and services. Support the development of program teaching methods and innovation and training concepts that fulfill the agencys strategic intent to generate revenue. Inspire K-12 Schools and higher education institutions local law enforcement and community organizations as innovation partners and collaborators in activities to identify create and articulate active partnerships. Inspire innovation partners and participating collaborators in activities to identify create and articulate training opportunities. Network with local organizations state agencies and coalitions providing training related to sexual interpersonal and workplace violence.

Reporting: Maintain an awareness of mandated reporting requirements for child abuse and other vulnerable populations and report related incidents as required. Maintain member confidentiality as designated by law or YWCA guidelines. Ensures records and reports are accurate accessible and maintained in accordance with YWCA guidelines and funding requirements. Professional Development: Complete twelve hours per year of continuing education in providing crisis intervention services with at least six of those hours addressing the specific member populations served. Complete other continuing education and training as set by YWCA.

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May work with or assist in the supervision of volunteers/interns. Assist with planning special programs i.e. Sexual Assault Awareness Month YWCA Week without Violence Day of Commitment.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Other duties outside of the responsibilities of the position may be assigned whether for a project special needs task or other assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS: One year of community or customer service experience is required. A current drivers license verifiable safe driving record and reliable transportation required. Verifiable connection with a trusted community group organization or institution. Preference for bilingual/multilingual (English and Spanish) written and spoken. The position requires prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word Excel Teams and Outlook. Demonstrated public speaking writing and presentation skills with well-developed organizational and critical thinking skills. Initiative-taker with strong time management skills. Active engagement and quick adoption of technology platforms such as learning management system content authoring tools video conferencing and other applications. Demonstrated skills for the position relate to collaboration communication and skilled public speaking abilities; prior experience in community engagement is advantageous. The coordinator must have the ability to diplomatically present information and work effectively with the public; skills in cultural competency are necessary. Team collaborations require the demonstrated ability to build rapport with other members of the work group and contribute to a positive work environment to achieve shared goals. The coordinator must possess the ability to effectively manage shifting priorities and respond effectively to crises and changing circumstances. The coordinator must demonstrate flexibility and a high tolerance for distress and high-stress situations with a service orientation.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelors degree required. Social Work Women and Gender Studies Education Public Health Business Speech or Marketing Communications

CERTIFICATION(s): Complete the ICASA forty-hour sexual assault crisis intervention training within thirty days of employment start date (if not completed within the prior two years).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will require travel to other YWCA offices or off-site locations for training service delivery and special events. The noise level is usually moderate. Movement requirements include walking stooping or kneeling. There may be a need to reach lift or move objects such as packages supplies and computers. Normal (or corrected) vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters numbers and symbols are necessary to the work which may require close viewing. Occasionally may need to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Communication needs include seeing hearing and speaking. While in the office there will be periods of sitting holding a telephone and using computers. Reasonable accommodation may be made for an individual to meet the essential responsibilities of the position.

WORK SCHEDULE: Schedule is typically Monday Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CST although schedule can vary depending on the needs of the agency like staffing special events
