Position at Northern Dutchess Hospital
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations Danbury Hospital New Milford Hospital Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations including The Heart Center a leading provider of cardiology care and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services and the Home Care organizations.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs non-nursing skills such as transport of patients equipment/supplies and other tasks as deemed necessary under the direction of the Director of Education and Training.
Provides a safe quiet comfortable environment for patients visitors and employees.
Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and job functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/Registration/Certification: None
Work Experience: No minimum prior experience required
Physical & Other Factors:
On feet most of the day. Physical exertion during transporting patients and equipment.
Work & Environmental Conditions: Exposed to patients conditions and some unpleasant sights smells and contagious diseases.
Job Relationships (Responsible to/for works with):
Responsible to the Director of Education. Works effectively with members of the health care team administrative personnel and maintains a cooperative working relationship intradepartmental and interdepartmentally.
