Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Able to learn and perform multiple operations in the TDE department.
- Perform all TDE duties.
- Able to quickly identify problems and make corrections.
- Enforce any repair rules for operator defects.
- Read and interpret SOPs and BOMs.
- Fill out repair sheets.
- Perform quality inspections.
- Perform material handling tasks as necessary.
- Process and key scrap data into SAP.
- Use hand tools air tools fixtures and any other necessary tools.
- Work well with team members.
- Work multiple shifts.
- Work overtime with little notice.
- Assist with training new employees.
- Perform group leader responsibilities as necessary including meeting all safety quality and efficiency goals.
- Understands and follows the Jackson sites environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with their work activities.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Must be a Stanley Black & Decker Certified Trainer.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES
- Must have satisfactory leadership and communication skills
- Must have experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing assembly defects
- Must have basic computer skills; experience in SAP and Windchill preferred
- Must have basic knowledge of job balancing time observations and cycle time
- Must report to work on time work safely and keep work area clean
- Must be able to work safely
- Must be self-motivated and work well under fast-paced situations
- Must be able to receive constructive criticism and show immediate improvement
- Must be willing to move to other lines as needed
- Must be able to perform repetitive work yielding a quality part within necessary cycle time.
- Must be a certified trainer
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required
1 year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
1 year equivalent experience or training
