Residential Manager Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of our high-quality person-centered services that promote independence dignity and inclusion for individuals receiving services by Emory Valley Center. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of residential sites including staff supervision implementation of Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. The Residential Manager utilizes best practices enabling technology and person-centered thinking to support individuals in achieving their goals developing daily living skills and fostering meaningful community engagement. Acting as a liaison and advocate the Residential Manager ensures that services align with the organizations mission and the expectations of the Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
- Ensure training compliance of all Home Managers on assigned caseload or as dictated by program needs. Provide direct training and coaching to Home Managers and Direct Support Professionals to ensure full understanding and execution of job duties.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of DDA HUD MCO and other relevant regulatory agency standards ensuring that all residential sites operate in compliance and exceed minimum licensure requirements. Utilize these standards as a foundation for implementing person-centered practices that ensure a safe secure and comfortable home environment.
- Actively participate in Circle(s) of Support (COS) meetings including direct involvement in the development and review of Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs). Review staff feedback and ensure plans are implemented accurately and effectively.
- Monitor and verify the accuracy and timeliness of documentation including medication administration records communication notes ITSPs and PCSPs.
- Conduct at least one unannounced home visit per month for each site under your responsibility. Adhere to and implement the Emory Valley Center (EVC) Supervision Plan. Maintain a flexible schedule with availability during afternoons evenings weekends and holidays to address emergencies or staffing needs.
- Implement and follow all therapy plans (OT PT SLP and Nutrition) and Behavior Support Plans as defined in ITSPs PCSPs and competency-based training modules. Serve as a designated trainer and ensure staff competency in these areas.
- Supervise evaluate and mentor Home Managers Super-Imposed staff and Direct Support Professionals. Ensure completion of all individual training for staff and participate in performance evaluations offering support and coaching as needed.
- Promote the use of enabling technology in the lives of people receiving services by identifying existing technologies (e.g. smartphones tablets) and introducing new tools that foster autonomy in home community and employment settings.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within all residential sites ensuring compliance with EVC protocols and expectations.
- Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Department to ensure people receiving services have access to and benefit from appropriate mental health services and support.
Requirements - High school diploma or 4 years experience in field or related field.
- Associate or bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Must have a valid Tennessee drivers license with a good driving record.
- Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites.
- Required training/certifications provided by the organization including CPR/First Aid.
