Work comp injury care/new injury and follow-up pre-employment physicals DOT physicals
A Brief Overview:
As a Physician - Immediate Care you will play a vital role in delivering prompt and efficient medical care to patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Your expertise will help ensure that our community has access to immediate care services when they need it most.
What you will do:
- Providing timely and comprehensive medical care to patients with non-emergent conditions in the immediate care setting.
- Performing initial assessments diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of acute medical conditions including minor injuries infections and common illnesses.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Prescribing medications treatments and referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records including patient history treatment plans and follow-up instructions.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families providing information about diagnoses treatment options and self-care instructions.
- Collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high standard of care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance the delivery of immediate care services.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations accreditation standards and reporting requirements.
- Addressing and mitigating compliance issues as needed.
What you will need:
- Doctorate Medicine Required
- Prior experience practicing medicine in hospital setting
- Current Illinois medical license Required And
- DEA registration Required
- Required
