The school is seeking a full-time Human Resources & Business Office Administrator to support a wide range of HR and administrative functions across the school. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills professional discretion and the ability to manage detailed tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Position Summary:

The Human Resources & Business Office Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to both the Human Resources Department and the Business Office. This individual will play a key role in payroll support employee lifecycle management policy documentation contract processing and business office operations. The position requires attention to detail confidentiality and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Support

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee files and records in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Support the full onboarding process including background checks documentation collection and orientation scheduling.
  • Assist in updating and streamlining onboarding and offboarding workflows to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Support the facilitation of performance review cycles and help maintain standardized tools such as evaluation forms and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide assistance with employee relations matters including documenting disciplinary actions and supporting grievance processes under direction of the Director of Human Resources.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits payroll policies and procedures; escalate complex matters as needed.
  • Assist in planning HR-related events including benefits enrollment wellness initiatives and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources on DASL data entry.

Payroll & Timekeeping Support

  • Input and verify payroll data in accordance with established schedules; assist with multi-step payroll processing.
  • Utilize time and attendance systems to ensure accurate time tracking including oversight of time clock adjustments and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Support post-payroll processes including account reconciliation and preparation of basic journal entries for integration with the accounting system.
  • Assist with the generation and review of payroll reports to support forecasting and internal reporting needs.

Business Office Administrative Support

  • Manage document retention and archiving in accordance with school policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the drafting reviewing and tracking of employment agreements and independent contractor contracts.
  • Support the review and distribution of internal policies and procedures; maintain accurate and updated documentation.
  • Assist the business office by processing invoices maintaining vendor files and supporting other routine administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with Business Office leadership to improve documentation systems workflows and interdepartmental communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Prior experience in a human resources or business office setting preferably in an educational or nonprofit organization.

Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
