Job Description

PediatricLicensed Vocational Nurse FT (30- 40 hours)

NEW GRADS WELCOME!

**Currently in need of a nurse that is available to Work Full Time any and all shifts!**

Job Summary: Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is searching for qualified loving LVNs to help us open a new Pediatric Day Health Center in Redding California. The positions can either be part-time or full-time. If you love children and adults and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! The Licensed Vocation Nurse provides skilled nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.

Company Overview: Ridgeline Pediatric is a specialized care facility for medically fragile children ages 0-65 with options for limited adult services. Ridgeline was established in 2005 in Grass Valley CA and now we have facilities in Yuba City Olivehurst 3 in Redding Auburn and one in Red Bluff.

Facility Hours: Facility operating hours are M-S 7:30 AM 6 PM( Except on Respites; we are open 24hours). Closed on all major holidays.

Reports To:Nursing Supervisor or Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

1.Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure;

2.At least 2 verifiable references

3.Successful completion of the Ridgeline Pediatric competency evaluation.


Requirements:

1 year direct pediatric client care experience (but not required).

2.Ability to lift carry bend walk and reach as needed to perform client care and/or transfer of client up to 50 lbs.

3.Ability to administer medications to a variety of clients.

4.Knowledge of diabetes management g-tubes and seizure precautions a plus.

5.Ability to communicate effectively with other staff clients physicians school teachers and general public;

6.Current CPR/first aid certificate or willing to obtain this within the first 2 weeks.

7. Get a TB test and a simple physical from your primary doctor or the health department.


Job Description:

  1. Full-Time
  2. Shifts may vary from 6hrs to 12 hours in length. Most shifts are 8 hours.
  3. Must be willing to work at least 2 Saturdays a month with one Sunday a month.
  4. Weekend and Overnight differential provided.
  5. Provide direct care services under the direction of the supervising nurse to pediatric clients with special health care needs.
  6. Behavior management to individual clients with behavior plans. Training provided.
  7. Must work well in a small team environment.
  8. Paid training and competitive hourly wage.
  9. Position available immediately.


Compensation

Hourly - $32-40.00 per hour DOE

Paid Training (NEW Grads Welcome)

Company matching 401k. Eligible after 6 months. Company matches up to 4% of your salary.

Two weeks paid vacation your first year. Up to 5 weeks paid vacation based on longevity with the company.
