Job Description

Assabet Valley Regional Technical School has an immediate opening for an HVAC Technical Teacher. Qualified candidates must be able to meet the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations requirements for Chapter 74 vocational-technical educator licensure in the field of HVACREPORTS TO: Director of Technical Programs REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: MA DESE Division of Occupational Education LicensurePerformance Accountabilities: Planning:Advance student learning through the use of clearly stated objectives varied instructional strategies sequential lessons and relevant measurable that accommodations for students with IEPs and 504s enable students to meet high technology regularly in daily/weekly lesson for sequential skill development as documented in the Certificate of Occupational Proficiency. PracticeCommunicate high standards and lessons with clear measurable goals aligned with state standards and unit outcomes (CTE/ MA Curriculum Frameworks).Communicate clearly in writing and opportunities for student centered and build upon students prior a balanced approach to teaching skills and a variety of teaching questioning strategies to stimulate technology students with frequent for varied opportunities for students to achieve instruction based on class/shop data and school-wide data to enhance instruction and lesson/unit planning. accurate records of student attendance and daily grades using appropriately defined standards-based question performance based clearly developed rubrics for projects. ManagementCommunicate clear behavioral classroom routines and procedures without significant loss of instructional to Classroom Management and adhere to the disciplinary policies and procedures of the to safety disciplinary action appropriate to the behavioral a current and accurate inventory of that equipment and supplies are well maintained.
