Job Description
Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our Downtown Office/Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
The QA will perform manual testing as well as write automation scripts for test data creation. QA will perform all STLC-related tasks and will work with the business and QA Teams to ensure that the requirements are implemented as per the expectations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the Business Analysis team to understand business requirements.
Work on reviewing requirements creating test strategy/test plan/test exit report test cases creation test execution bug reporting and uploading test cases to JIRA.
Perform functional/end-to-end/regression/system testing.
Perform backend data validation in the mainframe.
Write IBM DB2(Similar to SQL) queries to find data from the mainframe table.
Coordinate with Dev and BA to resolve reported bugs.
Should be able to work independently on project testing.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Mandatory Skills
5 years of working experience as a QA
Expertise in SDLC and STLC phases.
Proficient in writing test cases and test execution
Able to write and run automation scripts using Selenium with Java TestNG Cucumber and Gherkin
Understanding of test automation frameworks such as Page Object Model Cucumber and TestNG.
Basic commands of the mainframe for navigation
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of the Commercial global banking domain/Online loan application
Understanding of mainframe batch.
