FinRiA - Non-Financial Risk Assessment & Controls (NFRAC) - Vice President
Team and Role Overview
The Finance Risk & Assurance team is responsible for the design development and implementation of numerous operational risk programs across Global Finance. This role will be specifically focused on the Non-Financial Risk Assessment and Controls (NFRAC) as well as Commodity Futures Trading Commission Swap Dealer (CFTC) compliance. The position will be within the Finance Risk & Assurance (FinRiA) team based in Glasgow.
Non-Financial Risk Assessment and Controls (NFRAC): The role holder will be responsible for the Global co-ordination of the Finance NFRAC working with the Operational Risk Division (ORD) and Finance Risk Leads to deliver a systematic view of the divisions operational risk and controls enabling risk identification and remediation.
Commodity Futures Trading Commission Swap Dealer (CFTC) / SEC Security Based Swap Dealer (SBSD): The role holder will be responsible for coordinating various Finance sub-attestations to support the CEO certification of the annual report in meeting their prescribed responsibilities in accordance with the CFTC / SEC regimes.
Primary Responsibilities
>Be part of a sub team of 3 with line manager responsibilities
>Responsible for coordinating the Global Finance NFRAC ensuring completion to Firm deadlines
>Work with Functional Risk Leads to ensure that the risk profile is reflected in the NFRAC
>Report to Senior Management on changes in the risk profile and planned remediation
>Lead quarterly quality assurance reviews of Finance NFRAC
>Represent Finance at the NFRAC strategic calls and working groups
>Liaise with Operational Risk Division Coverage Officers and Finance Senior Management on a regular basis to provide NFRAC status updates
>Co-ordinate the Finance Controls Working Group on enhancing the Finance CILA population including implementation of a quality assurance process for control information.
>Work with Regulatory Controllers Policy team Senior Controllers and Compliance to provide Finance certification for SEC Security Based Swap Dealer (SBSD) and Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)
>Play an active role in the FinRiA team understanding and sharing risk and control knowledge that may impact other risk programs. Skills required
>Strong functional knowledge of operational risk regulatory reporting awareness.
>Institutional knowledge preferably within the Financial Services sector
>Organised and disciplined approach with ability to deliver in a high-paced environment and use multi-tasking to your advantage
>Ability to communicate collaborate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders of varying seniority across Finance and other divisions
>Critical thinking to challenge processes solve for ad hoc queries and creativity to suggest alternative approaches

>Bachelors degree
