Job Description
Overview
Client is seeking a motivated detail-oriented Associate Product Manager with 1 3 years of experience to join their product team in Bethesda MD. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow in product management gain hands-on experience with agile processes and learn from close collaboration with senior team members. Candidates must be local and flexible to work onsite as required especially for coaching and shadowing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in defining product requirements and user stories based on business goals and customer needs.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements for backend systems (e.g. reservation engines property management systems data platforms).
- Collaborate with design engineering and quality teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Help prioritize the product backlog and participate in sprint planning.
- Support product launches coordinating with deployment teams.
- Document product features workflows and updates for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience.
- 1 3 years of experience in a product-related or relevant business/technical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira Trello Confluence).
- Experience with user stories/epics.
- Background in customer support IT support or a corporate environment.
