The Manager Accounting Services is responsible for leading client engagements overseeing the preparation and delivery of accurate and compliant financial records and ensuring high-quality service to corporate and government clients. This role combines technical accounting expertise team leadership and client relationship management to deliver value-added insights that support strategic decision-making.
Lead and manage multiple client accounts across corporate government and not-for-profit sectors.
Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS local GAAP or relevant standards.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions reconciliations and reporting.
Review management accounts cash flow forecasts and KPI dashboards.
Provide advisory support on financial process improvements controls and efficiency gains.
Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting tax filing and audit requirements.
Liaise with external auditors tax authorities and regulatory bodies as required.
Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards and compliance regulations.
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and analysts.
Review work outputs for accuracy completeness and compliance with firm standards.
Support professional development and training for junior team members.
Implement and optimize accounting systems (e.g. Xero QuickBooks SAP Oracle).
Identify and introduce automation opportunities to improve accuracy and turnaround time.
Ensure secure handling of client data in accordance with privacy and information security policies.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
Develop and maintain strong trust-based relationships.
Identify opportunities for additional services (tax advisory payroll digital finance transformation).
