Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging curriculum across various subjects tailored to the upper school level and aligned with Maclay Schools academic standards.
- Employ a range of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles encourage active participation and stimulate intellectual curiosity among students.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and personalized support to foster academic achievement and personal growth.
- Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respectful dialogue collaborative learning and a positive student-teacher relationship.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities that enrich the educational experience and broaden students perspectives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of educational trends and best practices in pedagogy and subject matter expertise.
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to students guiding them in their academic journey college preparation and personal development.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant subject area; a Masters Degree or higher is preferred.
- Extensive experience in upper school education with a proven track record of effective teaching and student engagement.
- Deep knowledge of subject matter with the ability to inspire a love of learning and critical thinking in students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong relationships with students parents and colleagues.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills ensuring a productive learning environment.
