Job Description
The Opportunity:
Newcastle Anglican are seeking permanent part time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leaders. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.
These roles offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and energetic individuals looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect compassion integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.
Current vacancies are:
Kilpatrick Court - Toronto
- 20 hours per fortnight (morning & afternoon shifts)
- 50 hours per fortnight (afternoon shifts)
- 16 hours per fortnight (night shifts)

Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Residential Care Manager ensuringappropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs and effective orientating and buddying of new employees supporting team members in all aspects of their work
- Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.
About you
- Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
- Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
- An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately document residents care/progress
