Front Desk / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Pediatric Clinic in Pineville NC

Job Responsibilities
As a Front Desk / CMA youll play a vital role in both administrative and clinical support. Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and rescheduling well-child visits and sick appointments
- Patient check-in insurance verification and copay/balance collection
- Managing medical records: faxing filing and organizing under patient charts
- Coordinating referrals and booking specialist appointments
- Assisting with inventory and supply management
- Receiving supplies and organizing them in designated areas
- Scheduling and attending staff meetings as needed
- Triaging phone calls and patient concerns via Athenahealth EMR
- Assisting patients with portal access and sign-up
- Preparing forms doctors orders and vaccine information sheets
- Supporting rapid testing triage and vaccinations in collaboration with the clinical MA
Practice Overview
- Single-provider pediatric practice
- 7 - 18 patients per day depending on season and day
- Personalized care in a low-volume high-touch setting
Compensation & Benefits
- No benefits during the first year
- End of Year 1: Health care contribution will be discussed
- End of Year 2: 401(k) retirement plan will be added
