About the Role
This Sales Rep position focuses on driving revenue growth through customer account management virtual outreach and in-person engagement. The role supports end-to-end sales processes including lead generation quoting and order fulfillment within a manufacturing or industrial environment. While primarily office-based it includes occasional travel for client meetings site visits and industry events to strengthen customer relationships and expand market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow customer accounts through consistent communication and responsive service
- Conduct outbound sales via phone email and virtual meetings to generate leads and close sales
- Enter and manage sales orders accurately ensuring up-to-date information on availability and lead times
- Collaborate with internal teams to price custom and specialty products
- Document all sales activities and maintain organized records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation
- Resolve customer concerns including returns credits and order changes
- Participate in occasional client site visits in-person meetings or trade shows to support business development
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years of experience in a sales role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor technical or construction-related sales
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial product lines
- Familiarity with budgeting forecasting and contract negotiation
