Responsibilities
Coordinates all financial and administrative activities of a department. Assists with developingand monitoring departmental budgets. Reviews and approves expenditures. Maintains financial computerrecords; institutes and administers internal controls. Develops and submits various financial and compliancereports. Supervises and directs staff in general accounting preparation of reports and special projects. Hirestrains assigns and evaluates staff on financial matters. Knowledge of various policy analyses fiscal practicesand funding sources that are necessary to operate under budget parameters. Identifies and resolvesbudgetary and operational issues within budget constraints. Recommends procedures and development ofsystems to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency. Prepares and presents complex technical reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance equivalency
AND six years of experience in accounting officemanagement business administration or a related field. Three of the six years must have been in asupervisory capacity of fiscal or administrative staff.
A Masters degree in Public or Business Administration may be substituted for one year of the above requiredexperience.
Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region.
License Requirements
Must possess a valid drivers license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.

Background Check

Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination including drug screen.
