Role Overview

Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services Consulting and Technology Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MLS Lawyer (7 years PQE in English Law) with a strong background in asset management to join our Managed Legal Services team supporting our Property group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with senior experience and an understanding of delivering excellent client service to our client with a large property portfolio to play a critical role in guiding the legal and strategic operations for their portfolio.

The Senior MLS Lawyer will be responsible for:

  • Working as a senior legal advisor on asset management for clients with an extensive property portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and codes of practice affecting clients portfolio
  • Leading negotiation drafting and oversight of leases licences variations surrenders extensions consents and related agreements
  • Proactively managing legal risks especially those unique to the client industry
  • Leading managing and developing a team of legal professionals sharing expertise in asset management fostering a high-performance culture
  • Acting as the main legal point of contact for the client and internal teams offering insights and solutions that align with the clients strategic goals

Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm however we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 7 years PQE in English Law preferably gained within a busy asset management team
  • Extensive experience in asset management
  • Experience of commercial acquisitions/plot sales would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience with complex asset management portfolios or large client accounts
  • Exceptional negotiation communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of legal technology platforms and digital tools to manage client portfolios track performance and compliance and make data-driven decisions
