In addition to the duties of the NMT the Nuclear Medicine Technologist 3 performs duties within a specific domain critical to department operations. Examples of these domains are: JC inspection readiness ACR Accreditation application preparation and advanced therapeutic procedures. Performs more complex nuclear medicine procedures and computer analyses that require an advanced level of job knowledge and skills. Work is done independently under the direction of the Department Manager the Nuclear Medicine Physician or the Department Physicist
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities: - Troubleshoots on the event of a technical or mechanical problem. Has an in-depth understanding of nuclear medicine equipment.
- Performs the more advanced quality control procedures.
- Assists the programmer in troubleshooting PACS and RIM issues
- Orders supplies for the clinical unit
- Supervises the work of student technologists.
Required Qualifications:- Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- License MA Rad Tech-Nuclr Med required. and Registration American Registry of Rad Tech required. or Certificate 1 Nuclear Med Tech Certification required. and Certificate 2 Basic Life Support required.
- 1-3 years related work experience required.
- New hires will have 30 days to provide BLS certification. Certification has to be with the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Position requires at least 2 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist with demonstration of increasing levels job knowledge and skills. Position requires decision-making and the ability to solve problems.
- Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.

- Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas identifying issues and respecting team members.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients visitors staff and external customers in a professional service-oriented respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
