Your Team

You will join our lending team that is tasked with providing the core API and processes for one of our biggest partners - ADAC. You will have the opportunity to experience deep domain and dive into the complex worlds of lending and cards business. The challenges you will have will be various and plenty - from business domain complexity to high load and availability.

Your Role

Were looking for a Staff Engineer to lead one of our core product engineering teams in shaping the future of digital this role youll work at the intersection of product and engineering owning the design delivery and operation of complex high-scale financial services. Youll collaborate closely with Product Management Engineering Leadership and fellow engineers to build secure resilient and reliable banking solutions. Youll bring both technical depth and leadership to a team solving critical business and technical challenges.

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in building cloud-native services for banking products.
• Architect and deliver scalable secure backend systems from design to production.
• Champion engineering excellence focusing on code quality system reliability observability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering peers to ensure technical decisions align with business outcomes.
• Take end-to-end ownership of systems (You build it you run it) from design and deployment to operations.
• Guide architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy within your domain.
• Mentor engineers and cultivate team practices that elevate standards.

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin with a proven track record of developing scalable products.
• Extensive experience in the development and operation of cloud-native applications across major platforms (GCP AWS or Azure).
• Strong expertise in building and operating distributed systems prioritizing performance reliability and maintainability.
• Demonstrated leadership in technical projects or teams (e.g. Tech Lead Team Lead).
• Solid understanding of security best practices for backend and cloud services.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives effectively balancing technical and product objectives.
• A thoughtful communicator and adept problem-solver capable of aligning engineering efforts with business goals.
