Job Description

Mpower Solar is the largest NYC-based solar installer recognized for excellence in sales design installation and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Electrician to join our team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in helping bring solar energy to more homes across the NYC metro area.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Complete electrical wiring of solar arrays and Balance of System (BOS) equipment
  • Perform service panel upgrades and electrical repairs as needed to pass DOB inspections
  • Commission solar equipment including and web portal registration
  • Prepare all job sites for electrical and ground safety including creating secure anchor and tether points
  • Ensure all tools materials and Bill of Materials are accurate and available for each project
  • Train crew members on best practices for solar electrical installation
  • Travel to various job sites across the NYC metro area
  • Maintain professional communication with customers internal stakeholders and teammates
  • Document completed work by uploading photos and notes to the internal database
  • Use internal systems (e.g. HubSpot Slack) to communicate updates and resolve issues

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in solar electrical installation
  • Strong understanding of solar system servicing troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Solid grasp of NEC code safety standards permitting requirements and electrical installation practices
  • Ability to bend conduit per design and NEC regulations
  • OSHA 10 certification (required)
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites across NYC
  • Excellent communication organization and on-the-spot problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Compensation:

  • $250.00 per workday or $14.00 per installed panel whichever is the higher amount per day
