JD for Electrical Lab Instructor
Job Summary:
The Electrical Lab Instructor provides hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in
industrial automation IIoT Sensors and related electrical engineering principles to students
in advanced manufacturing courses. This role involves developing and delivering lab-based
lessons ensuring a safe and effective learning environment and staying current with
technological advancements in the field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Laboratory Management:
Supervise and manage the advanced manufacturing laboratory ensuring it is well-
equipped and organized.
Maintained inventory troubleshot the lab equipment software and facilities and
reported any issues or malfunctions to the lab director.
Coordinate with faculty course instructors to ensure the alignment and integration of
the lab and lecture components.
Instruction and Training:
Develop and deliver training modules and practical sessions in Electrical Switch
gears drives automation electrical circuits control systems PLC IoT Sensors etc.
Provide hands-on instruction to participants demonstrating the operation of
machinery tools and equipment.
Create a dynamic engaging learning environment encouraging active participation
and skill development.
Develop and revise the lab curriculum experiments and manuals according to the
curricular standards and learning outcomes.
Participant Guidance:
Offer guidance and support to participants during laboratory sessions helping them
understand and apply manufacturing concepts.
Address participants questions concerns and difficulties providing timely
assistance.
Foster a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
Conduct regular safety inspections address potential hazards and maintain a culture
of safety awareness.
Establish emergency protocols and procedures.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Assess participants practical skills and knowledge providing constructive feedback
and evaluation.
To gauge participants understanding and progress implement assess and grade
students lab reports assignments presentations and projects.
Please provide feedback and guidance to students on their lab work and academic
performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities equipment usage and inventory.
Prepare reports on laboratory operations training outcomes and any issues or
incidents.
Document participants progress and performance.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Knowledge and proficiency in electrical engineering concepts principles and
practices
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students faculty staff and external partners.
Ability to design develop and deliver engaging and effective lab instruction and
assessment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic
environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to adapt & stay updated on the latest trends and developments in electrical
engineering.

Educational Qualification & Experience:
Bachelors degree/Diploma in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
5-7 years experience for a degree with 2-3 years training experience and 8-10 years
experience for a diploma with 2-3 years training experience as an electrical lab
instructor technician or engineer.
