Job Description
Prioritized must haves for the Senior Engineer:
#1. Hands-on Experience with LoanIQ (Finastra)
- Deep understanding of the LoanIQ application including UI underlying database schema table relationships and issue resolution (e.g. batch runs).
- Experience interacting with Finastra support and managing patches/upgrades across UAT pre-PROD and PROD environments.
#2. Strong SQL Skills for Data Integration
- Proficient in MS SQL with experience in bulk data transfers between LoanIQ and other databases.
- Able to develop and deploy SQL-based data exchanges and support future API-based integrations.
#3. API Development and Integration Experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop deploy and support APIs especially between cloud-based and on-prem legacy systems.
- Familiarity with Finastras API ecosystem is a plus.
#4. Financial Industry Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector ideally with exposure to lending capital markets or wholesale banking.
- Basic knowledge of financial instruments and SWIFT is desirable.
Requirements for the Senior Engineer:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent with three years of relevant work experience in the financial sector.
- Proficiency MS SQL and data transfer
- API development and deployment
- Basic business knowledge of financial instruments wholesale banking capital markets lending and market risk analysis preferred. SWIFT experience is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge / experience with MSOffice (Excel Access) desirable.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the LoanIQ application is required including the user interface underlying database schema and table relationships and issue resolution related to LoanIQ batch run.
- Experience with Finastras reporting tool DataNet (a branded instance of IBM Cognos) would also be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Finastra API universe is preferred.
- Possesses SQL skills with a focus on bulk data transfers between LoanIQ and other SQL databases.
- Broad banking product knowledge with a focus on agented and non-agented (bilateral) loans is a plus.
