Job Description
TES Staffing is seeking a reliable hard-working Custodian to join our facilities team at a K-12 school located in Rochester NY. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for students staff and visitors.
Hours: Monday- Friday 6:30a- 3p
Pay: $16/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the school
Sweep mop polish and strip floors in classrooms hallways and common areas
Vacuum spot clean and shampoo rugs carpets and upholstered furniture
Support school events by making outside purchases as needed
Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests from the Business Office and school administrators
Ensure all work meets health and safety standards particularly in a school setting
Qualifications:Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred especially in a school or similar environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds bend reach and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and time management
Must be reliable professional and able to work independently
Additional Requirements:
Per New York State law all individuals working in a school must complete and pass a criminal background check
This position is subject to the schools Zero Tolerance Policy regarding drugs alcohol and inappropriate behavior while on school property
