Job Description

TES Staffing is seeking a reliable hard-working Custodian to join our facilities team at a K-12 school located in Rochester NY. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for students staff and visitors.

Hours: Monday- Friday 6:30a- 3p
Pay: $16/hr
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the school

  • Sweep mop polish and strip floors in classrooms hallways and common areas

  • Vacuum spot clean and shampoo rugs carpets and upholstered furniture

  • Support school events by making outside purchases as needed

  • Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests from the Business Office and school administrators

  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards particularly in a school setting

    Qualifications:

  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred especially in a school or similar environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds bend reach and perform physical tasks for extended periods

  • Strong attention to detail and time management

  • Must be reliable professional and able to work independently

Additional Requirements:

  • Per New York State law all individuals working in a school must complete and pass a criminal background check

  • This position is subject to the schools Zero Tolerance Policy regarding drugs alcohol and inappropriate behavior while on school property
