About the Team
You will join Linklaters Global Solutions (LGS) as a critical member of the Business Development and Marketing (BDM) team. Linklaters Global Solutions is a function delivering day-to-day transactional work essential to the smooth running of the firm and providing analysis and advisory capability to our business stakeholders lawyers and partners globally.
BDM LGS is a diverse and highly skilled team of marketing business development data and operations professionals dedicated to supporting the wider BDM function in driving revenue growth nurturing our priority client relationships and strengthening the firms reputation. Our team works on initiatives ranging from pitch creation and marketing content management to market intelligence and data analytics creative design and event coordination.

You will be responsible for
Team leadership:
Leading and inspiring the global pitching function including teams in Asia Europe and the UK. You will have two managers reporting to you with 20 Senior Advisors Advisors and Coordinators in their teams.
Guiding the pitching teams in managing and delivering the process of preparing formal client proposals with the objective of winning new client mandates and deepening existing client relationships.
Representing the pitching function at senior management level in the BDM LGS management team and other forums.
Fostering a global one team culturepromoting seamless collaboration and consistent processes between pitching teams in Asia Europe UK and in a matrix setup the US.
Ensuring optimal resource allocation across all pitching teams to meet the needs of internal stakeholders (such as Partners practice and sector groups and offices) in line with firm priorities.
Building and implementing team and individual objectives offering ongoing coaching motivation and support to achieve high performance engagement and professional development.
Providing detailed performance data and recommendations to senior stakeholders to ensure the team is delivering as required.
Strategy development and stakeholder management:
Working alongside the Head of BDM LGS to shape and deliver the strategic direction of the LGS pitching function aligned with Linklaters global business development and client strategy.
Owning and leading continuous improvement of LGS pitching capabilitycollaborating with the BDM Head of Pitching the Pitch Center of Excellence and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the pitching process.
Setting and championing a vision for a scalable flexible and globally integrated pitching service leveraging the skills and geographical reach of the LGS and global business development community.
Proactively engaging with Partners practice and sector leaders and BDM stakeholders to understand needs monitor market trends and anticipate business targets ensuring pitching support stays one step ahead.
Developing and refining pitch strategies embedding global best practice and aligning to firm-wide strategy and messaging.
Using analytics client and Partner feedback and win/loss analysis to develop both the team and the pitching capability in LGS.
Identifying championing and helping deliver transformative initiatives such as increased automation.
Monitoring industry best practice including leading professional and legal services firms to ensure Linklaters remains at the forefront of pitching.
Ensuring the LGS pitching team is recognised as a value-adding partner by promoting proactive engagement and early involvement in high-impact pursuits.
Apply if you
Have significant experience (6-8 years) managing pitch processes in professional services preferably in a legal environment.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills with proven ability to develop high-performing teams across multiple locations.
Show excellent communication and collaborative skills with ability to work effectively on strategic level with senior stakeholders including Partners and Chiefs.
Have experience in operating model development such as harmonizing ways of working across multiple teams defining governance practices identifying and embedding new technology to realise efficiencies for our teams.
Are an agile problem-solver proactive in resource management and adaptable in meeting evolving client and business needs.
Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing (C1 or C2 level).
