Job Description
The Pavement Marking Technician will be responsible for applying pavement markings including lines symbols and other traffic control indicators on roadways parking lots and other surfaces. This role requires precision adherence to safety standards and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply pavement markings (e.g. lines arrows crosswalks) using specialized equipment such as paint trucks hand-held applicators and stencils.
- Prepare surfaces for marking by cleaning removing debris and ensuring proper adhesion.
- Operate and maintain pavement marking equipment ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Follow project specifications blueprints and traffic control plans to ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones and signs to ensure a safe work zone.
- Inspect completed work for quality accuracy and durability.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in pavement marking road construction or a related field preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).
- Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of traffic control and safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and overtime as needed.
Additional Information :
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 20-23.50/hr depending on experience
