Job Description

Elementary Special Education Resource Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Location: Illinois Elementary School

Schedule: Mid-September 2025 January 2026

Caseload: 8 9 students (Grades K 5)

Were seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to cover a maternity leave in a welcoming elementary school. This full-time position begins mid-September and runs through January 2026 offering a rewarding chance to support a small group of students in a dedicated resource room setting.

In this role youll deliver targeted instruction in reading and math tailored to students IEP goals. You ll also work closely with general education teachers service providers and families to ensure smooth coordination and continued progress throughout the school year. With a manageable caseload of 8 9 students youll have the space to provide individualized support and meaningful interventions.

Requirements

  1. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  2. Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement.
  3. Bachelor s degree in Special Education (Master s preferred).
  4. Experience with IEP implementation and small-group instruction.
