DescriptionWere looking for a Manager of Nursing Outpatient - Abdominal Transplant someone whos ready to grow with our this position you will maintain accountability for clinical and personnel activities and to provide support to the Director Medical Director and Practice Administrator for outpatient clinic operations. The Patient Care Manager participates in the delivery of high quality family-centered and developmentally appropriate patient care at the clinic level. The Patient Care Manager provides leadership to direct clinic patient flow staffing and clinical quality in collaboration with physician and administrative outpatient leaders.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and collaborates outpatient clinical operations and patient care needs with appropriate members of the healthcare team to achieve desired clinical outcomes and management of care across the continuum.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with health care team and works to eliminate communication barriers. Serves as a liaison between physicians families nursing staff and ancillary departments.
- Monitors current and projected patient volumes and clinical processes via data collection and observation. Effectively and succinctly compiles analyzes and presents data to diagnose process improvement opportunities and goals to team and department. Uses data to make decisions for staffing effectiveness. Monitors productivity and assures that staffing resources are aligned with patient care needs.
- Observes identifies and addresses human resources issues for assigned staff. Coaches counsels and develops staff to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
- Maintains clinical competency by ensuring that the physiologic psychosocial and developmental needs of the patient are met within a Family-Centered care environment.
- Supports the implementation of clinic goals (in collaboration with physician and clinic leadership) and communication of the organizations strategic plan to staff.
- Participates in clinic-based quality initiatives for the purpose of developing and monitoring clinical outcomes that demonstrate nursing excellence.
- Ensures staff development and employee onboarding occurs within the guidelines set by the Department of Ambulatory Services.
- Conducts annual learning needs assessment (in collaboration with the education coordinator) for direct reports and submits to Ambulatory leadership for annual professional training curriculum planning.
- Ensures all new employees complete required orientation and competency assessment.
- Supports nursing excellence through participating in shared governance structure for Texas Childrens Nursing programs. Communicates shared governance developments during staff meetings.
- Provides direct patient care to support outpatient clinical operations and patient flow.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree Nursing requited
- RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact required
- BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association required
- 2 years Nursing experience required
- Transplant Coordinator experience highly preferred
