Job Summary

Senior Property Accountant North Vancouver

Our client a fast-paced and rapidly growing Property Management company is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the DoF you will play a critical role in full-cycle accounting ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial records and reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a portfolio of properties including accounts payable/receivable payroll and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
Prepare monthly quarterly and year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including preparation of journal entries accruals and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while identifying and implementing process improvements.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the Controller.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support property management operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
CPA designation (completed or near completion) is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience including CAM reconciliations.
Proficiency in property management software such as Spectra or Yardi.
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.

Salary Range: $80000 - $90000 per year depending on experience
