Location: Stayton OR
Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Coverage Type: Clinical Call
Coverage Period: 09/08/2025 3 months (with option to extend until position is filled)
Clinical Shift Schedule: Optional clinic work if provider desires
On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour beeper call (off-site) 1:4 ratio
Call Type: Beeper
Call Ratio: 1:4
Call Response Time: As required by facility
Callback Rate: Variable typically 2 calls per weekend or up to 6 7 based on volume

No. of Beds in Department: Part of 40-bed hospital
EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: Standard OB/GYN clinical and surgical equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) CRNA for anesthesia Family Medicine MD for newborn care 2 full-time OB/GYNs and 2 consistent locums
Support Staff Available: CNMs CRNA Family Medicine MD OB/GYN colleagues
Reason for Coverage: Vacancy until permanent hire is made

Credentialing Timeline: Less than 30 days for locums

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Oregon medical license (willing to license if not held)
Board: Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology
DEA: Active DEA required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in OB/GYN practice
Other Qualifications: Proficiency with laparoscopic GYN cases
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care including deliveries and surgical procedures
Respond to 24-hour beeper call for emergent patient needs
Perform required laparoscopic GYN cases
Collaborate with CNMs CRNA Family Medicine MD and other OB/GYN providers
Manage patient care and documentation in Epic EMR system
