Position Overview:
XOVR CNC Parts & Service is seeking multiple positions for a dedicated Field Service Engineer - CNC Machine Tools to join our team. This position requires travel across the United States providing exceptional service installation and technical support for X-Series machine tools and other manufacturers advanced CNC machinery. This includes laser cutting systems press brakes robotic systems plasma cutting systems drills saws and other metal fabrication equipment. All candidates must live within one hour of a major airport.
Essential Job Functions:
- Installing and baselining/debugging new CNC equipment systems
- Training new customers and operators on equipment operation and procedures
- Maintaining repairing and troubleshooting existing equipment systems
- Performing data analysis to assess machinery performance
- Documenting machine safety maintenance and operational reports
- Reading and interpreting layout electrical pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams/schematics
- Collaborating with engineers service managers and customers
- Providing accurate and thorough reporting on project progress and completion
- Mechanical systems installation experience is a plus!

Requirements
Travel Requirements:
- Non-Local Employees: 90% travel required
- Local Bozeman MT / Murrieta CA Employees: 70% travel with partial time at Montana Technical Center and/or Murrieta CA location.
- Regular travel within assigned U.S. territories (1-2 weeks on-site home on weekends when possible)
- Some projects may require extended time on-site
Qualifications:
- Foundation of engineering technical knowledge such as a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) (preferred but not required)
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (layout/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in machine installations training and service for CNC machine tools
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Self-motivated with strong customer-service orientation
- Ability to problem solve methodically and provide logical solutions.
- Must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport

Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, or shipping/receiving role preferred Familiarity with inventory software and shipping platforms (UPS/FedEx) is a plus Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and part numbers Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Team player with good communication skills Forklift experience a plus (training available) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
