The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks a board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist to join the Division as Associate Professor or Professor in the University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line. We are specifically interested in candidates with expertise in pediatric heart failure and heart transplantation as well as longitudinal care of the patient with univentricular heart.
Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
We expect the successful candidate to be a Medical Director of the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies team at Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital (LPCH) with responsibilities for clinical care teaching and academic program development in the fields of heart failure and heart transplantation. The PACT program provides comprehensive care to children with all stages of heart failure. We perform approximately 25 heart transplants and 15 VAD implants annually with a complex mix of patients. Outcomes in the PACT program are outstanding. There are currently 8 cardiology faculty in the PACT program.
They will join a nationally recognized group of pediatric cardiologists who provide clinical care and perform research within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular program The Childrens Heart Center at LPCH. The Childrens Heart Center at Packard has grown dramatically over the past ten years and is currently ranked in the top five pediatric heart and heart surgery programs nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Extensive opportunities exist for prospective clinical and translational research through collaborations with outstanding investigators in the School of Medicine (Departments of Pediatrics Medicine Radiology and Health Research and Policy) School of Engineering the Stanford Program in Bio-X and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Associate Professor: $335K - $353K
Professor: $409K - $437K
This pay range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicines faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
