General Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technological future of three distinct businesses with rich histories. Music Brands is composed of Alfred Music a leading music publisher since 1922 provides a vast library of educational and popular sheet music while MakeMusic and Fons are dynamic edtech SaaS companies serving music educators and students globally with cutting-edge learning platforms. This position is ideal for a leader passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation in both the physical and digital music worlds.
As our Senior Director Engineering at Music Brands youll be a key leader guiding and growing a team of approximately 15 across product engineering SaaS platform and data engineering. Our Music Brands business comprises multiple product lines and we need someone who can expertly balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight focusing on system health reliable delivery technical maintainability and technology stack optimization. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of elevating engineering standards and fostering talent.

You will work directly with the Engineering Teams and in close collaboration with the leadership team and various department leaders and report to Peakswares Chief Operating Officer.

Compensation
Peaksware/Alfred Music is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual compensation range for this role in Colorado is $154087 - $256811. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills and certifications.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted heated and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and filing cabinets.
