Job Description
Machine Operator South Bend IN
$17.50/hr.
3pm to 1am Monday through Thursday Possible OT on Fridays and Saturdays
Operate a machine that is a part of the development and manufacturing of advanced steel wire used primarily for automotive industry
Requirements:
- Identify and pull coils from staging area
- Set up dies and string machine according to schedule
- Load coils onto the rockets
- Operate the pointing machine
- Operate the Shaving machine
- Input data in the computer Pick Pass Split coils
- Dispose of scrap wire generated while shaving
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs. throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to stand walk bend and stoop.
- Ability to use hands to finger handle and feel.
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions.
