Director of Facilities:

The Director ofFacilities is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of allfacilities-related initiatives across our national portfolio. What Youll Do:

  • Maintain Ownership for all activities performed by the Facilities department.
  • Establishesmetrics of success in the areas of Cost Time and Quality for ongoingFacilities Management programs.
  • Partner with Department Leadership and Finance to create annual Capital and Repair & Maintenance plans and present plans to Executive Team for approval.
  • Develop and implement a scalable cost-efective facilities management strategy aligned with company growth goals and brand standards.
  • Align with Regional Directors on new restaurant and ongoing maintenance communication collect feedback from the Field and identify Opportunities for Improvement.
  • Identify potential Risks and create recommendations for risk mitigation for review with Sr Director of Construction and Facilities.
  • Utilize facilities management systems (CMMS) to track work orders KPIs and asset history.
  • Report regularly on facility performance metrics including response times equipment downtime and spend vs budget.
  • Lead team of Facilities personnel to successfully execute to plan identify opportunities for continuous improvement and create proposals to implement change.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices.
  • Partner with Sr Director of Construction & Facilities to implement national strategy for Facilities Vendors to support CAVAs growing portfolio.
  • Assist the Sr Director of Construction & Facilities is negotiating master service agreements with Contractors/Vendors/Consultants to meet long-term business needs. Partner with CAVA enterprise Procurement and Legal Teams to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards.
  • Partner with vendors to identify opportunities for economies of scale and related cost savings to the business.
  • Partner with Real Estate in the evaluation of prospective locations provide insights on project scope having potential impact to pro formas.
  • Create detailed cost projection modeling tools refine models as new data is collected.
  • Oversee the upkeep and performance of building systems HVAC refrigeration kitchen equipment and exterior maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend the life of assets.
  • Serve as point of contact to Landlords for escalation during post-occupancy phase.
  • Participate in construction progress meetings and perform site visits with Design & Construction team as needed to ensure CAVA business objectives are achieved. Provide high-level status updates to Department and Company leadership.
  • Support Operations teams post-occupancy on significant repairs and/or renovations and ensure all construction warranty items are addressed and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate cross-functional and vendor deliverables and collaborate with teams to develop improved process planning/tracking documents and communication protocols.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement. Turn information gathered into results that influence current processes or recommend new/improved initiatives that drive results.
  • Recruit hire and lead the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Strengthen existing contractor/vendor partnerships by providing ongoing performance feedback and identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed files for all projects in accordance with CAVA filing standards.
  • Abideby policies and procedures that support the service mindset
  • Manage timeline expectations within andacross teams deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
  • Earn the trust of Team Members andManagers by consistently embracing CAVAs values
  • Show discipline in bringing consistentperformance communication and attitude to the job every day
  • Actively contribute to your departmentin order to complete tasks and meet company goals

The Qualifications:

Professionalcollege degree or equivalent in work experience (engineering or constructionmanagement preferred)

ProjectManagement Certification (PMP) Preferred

Minimum15 years of post-collegiate experience in the construction or facilitiesindustries.

Minimum10 years working for a retail/restaurant company in construction or asan owners rep in construction or facilities.

Minimum3 years overseeing a construction team as a Director or above.

Expertisein restaurant build-outs with technicaland practical knowledge of all restaurant building systems.

Experiencemanaging multiple construction projects simultaneously and overseeing theexecution of a rapid high-growth portfolio.

Demonstratedability to manage general contractors specialty vendors and otherprofessionals providing services for construction projects on both aper-project and national agreement level.

Knowledge of all project documentsincluding LL work letters Lease terms construction documents specificationsGC contracts purchase orders standard daily correspondence forms submittalsRFIs.

Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Excel.

Experienceusing cloud-based Project Management Platforms (such as Procore TririgaLucernex Site Folio)

Proficiencywith AutoCAD/REVIT Bluebeam a plus

Abilityto travel up to 50%.

Physical Requirements:

  • Abilityto maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and otheroffice equipment
  • Mustbe able to identify analyze and assess details
  • Forcertain positions must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to50 pounds
  • Abilityto communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantlypositions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food productionsupport or office operations as applicable
  • Abilityto work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
