Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 12 hours shifts - Fulltime and PRN
Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital Youngstown is a state-of-the-art 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke brain injury neurological conditions trauma spinal cord injury amputation and orthopedic injury.
What you will do in this role:
Provides patient care services that meet the psychosocial physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
- Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
- CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
- IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred
- Minimum six months Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
