You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Payment Applications Specialist you will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments reconciling transactions and ensuring accurate application of payments to customer accounts. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring timely and efficient payment operations.
Process and apply incoming payments through various channels (checks electronic transfers credit cards etc.)
Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues related to payment applications.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and accurate records.
Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries related to payments and accounts.
Maintain documentation of payment processes and methodologies for compliance and audit purposes.
Generate reports on payment activities outstanding balances and other key metrics for management review.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payment processing.
Assist in the development and implementation of payment policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelors degree Accounting/Finance preferred undergraduate juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply
Required Skills
Ability to perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards safely and efficiently.
Must be able to talk listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
