COMPENSATION: $16.49-$20.90 per hour

At Wasatch Behavioral Health we are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Behavior Technician to join our team in the Vantage Point North Program of American Fork this role you will be instrumental in offering personalized support to our youth helping them navigate their daily challenges and reach their goals. Your duties will involve overseeing clients organizing activities managing crises instructing essential life skills and recording behaviors. By actively participating in team meetings assessing documents observing client behaviors and medication effects and placing a strong emphasis on client safety you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

To excel as a Behavior Technician essential skills include strong communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and team members keen observation skills to assess client behaviors accurately exceptional crisis management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Additionally proficiency in using tools such as behavior tracking software and knowledge of relevant techniques for teaching living skills are crucial for success in this role. A valid drivers license is also required to fulfill job responsibilities including transporting clients and attending off-site meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. High school diploma or GED; AND
B. One (1) year post high school education in social work psychology or a related field AND
C. One (1) year of general work experience;
OR
D. An equivalent combination of related education and experience from lines B and C. Up to two years of personal experience with recovery or treatment may be substituted for the post high school education or general work experience requirements
Must have valid Drivers License
Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
