Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL B Driver to join our team specializing in the loading and transportation of roofing materials to various job sites. As a crucial member of our delivery team you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle ensuring the timely delivery of building supplies and utilizing a moffett to efficiently move materials to construction sites.
No restrictions on CDL and recent experience driving a commercial vehicle with a manual transmission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle with a CDL B license to transport building materials to residential and commercial job sites.
- Proficiently operate a moffett to deliver materials to job sites and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during operation.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of building materials utilizing proper lifting and securing techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties when not driving.
- Actively participate in periodic physical inventories and cycle counts with emphasis on product identification and accuracy of the count.
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules considering traffic conditions weather and job site requirements.
- Complete accurate and timely pre and post trip inspections and documentation and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain organized records of deliveries ensuring proper communication with the dispatch team.
- Interact professionally with customers and job site personnel providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations both during transportation and jobsite operations.
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs.
- Be on time present and ready to work for at least 40 scheduled hours per week during core business hours (6:30 AM 4:30 PM) and available for regular Saturday shifts (6:30 AM 12:00 PM) once training is fully completed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License
- Current DOT physical card and clean driving record
- No restrictions on CDL and recent experience driving a commercial vehicle with a manual transmission
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate and follow procedures
- Forklift certification
- Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain hazmat endorsement
