QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to analyze and maintain multiple complex information systems
- Ability to integrate and support IT best practices across multiple systems and departments
- Ability to use and experience with Adobe Microsoft and Google productivity suite applications
- Ability to learn SQL and Information System proprietary query languages
- Ability to design training materials and documentation
- Ability to read interpret and apply technical documentation of federal and state laws and procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to make presentations and lead trainings related to job responsibilities for various stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Strict confidentiality with sensitive and high-stakes information
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical problem solving
- Experience with leading student information systems (i.e. Edupoint Synergy Infinite Campus etc.)
- Experience with managing enterprise applications
- Two to three years experience creating training materials and training end users
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science MIS Business or related field or equivalent work experience
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include but are not limited to)
- Assistant in maintaining and supporting the districts SIS and associated modules.
- Maintains understanding of the Nebraska Department of Education data EdFi data reporting requirements and deadlines and works with the appropriate district department to ensure data quality is maintained for accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in the installation and testing of new changes and features; develop and utilize test data in the operating system and evaluate and report on results; assist and provide support to staff.
- Analyze user concerns requirements and requests for system features and uses; identify applications modifications and enhancements to existing systems to accommodate user needs.
- Maintains professional contacts throughout the region and state with other SIS professionals to keep abreast of best practices.
- Provide ad hoc reports to district leadership to empower data-driven decision making.
- Performs other duties as required by the Director of Technology.
