Job Description

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Instructor will provide career-focused instruction to young adults ages 1824 in OBTs Sunset Park Employment Hub. The instructor will deliver engaging sector-informed curricula that support participants in developing key skills for entry-level careers in digital marketing content creation and related fields.

The curriculum places a strong focus on AI tools for content creation branding and visual storytelling and brand consistency across platforms. The instructor will also support students in preparing for internships secondary education and employment after program completion. This includes helping students with internship tasks as needed and supervising any interns working onsite.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

  • Provide technical instruction and introduction to digital marketing to young adults with little or no previous experience

  • Facilitate curricula that is sector-focused labor-market informed and builds relevant job-ready skills

  • Facilitate certification training and lead participants in obtaining relevant credentials

  • Integrate the use of AI tools for content creation across marketing lessons and projects

  • Emphasize branding visual storytelling and brand consistency across content types and platforms

  • Deliver content in a way that is engaging accessible and relatable to youth learners from a range of backgrounds

Student Support & Career Readiness

  • Support students in exploring and preparing for both employment and secondary education pathways after program completion

  • Assist students with internship-related tasks and supervise interns placed at onsite internship locations

  • Monitor participant progress and implement individualized education plans

  • Grade and provide timely feedback on weekly assessments projects and class participation

Industry Knowledge & Professional Practice

  • In partnership with the Employment Team maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing industry trends tools platforms and certifications

  • Engage in ongoing training around youth development strategies such as Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Participate in internal professional development and instructional coaching

Data Tracking & Evaluation

  • Track and input data related to attendance performance and credential attainment using internal and external systems

  • Contribute to data tracking evaluation and reporting to support program improvement

Collaboration & Organizational Engagement

  • Collaborate with inter-disciplinary program staff to ensure strong student outcomes and improved educational practices

  • Coordinate with OBTs Outreach & Communications team and other program teams to integrate student work into outreach and recruitment strategies

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to engage and support diverse learners including those with barriers to employment or education

  • Deep familiarity with current and emerging digital marketing tools platforms and trends including AI tools used in marketing workflows

  • Proficiency and ability train learners in Adobe Creative Suite especially Illustrator as well as Canva Google Suite and common social media tools

  • Strong grasp of marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager

  • Ability to interpret program data to inform instruction and improve outcomes

  • Skilled at creating immersive hands-on classroom experiences focused on real-world application

  • Strong organizational communication and classroom management skills

  • Comfort with giving and receiving feedback and openness to continuous learning and growth

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting

  • Strong commitment to youth development and a student-centered approach

Education and Experience/Training

  • Bachelors degree in marketing communications public relations social media or a related field

  • At least 3 years of practical industry-based experience

  • Experience providing instruction leading to industry-recognized credentials strongly preferred

  • Experience tracking managing and reporting program or participant data in Salesforce o similar CRM systems

  • Certifications in Adobe Google Analytics Meta Digital Marketing or related platforms highly preferred
