Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
(1) Assisting with the month end close procedures
(2) Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
(3) Preparing reviewing and submitting financial reporting to our plants sales offices and corporate office
(4) Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control structure.
(5) Assists with audits surveys and other special projects.
(6) Assisting in Hyperion (HFM) consolidation reporting report building and maintaining correct GL Mapping.
(7) Supports the Accounting Manager and Accounting Leads with other accounting tasks as needed.
(8) Successful candidates will use their excellent in-person verbal and written communication skills to develop relationships across Skyline Steel Nucor and the industry.
(9) Demonstrates ability to lead teammates and provide guidance on accounting issues.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
4-year degree in Accounting or other financially related field
Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Accounting or CPA
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
