Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Communication Be able to clearly and effectively exchange information ideas facts and perspectives with the faculty advisor and any others working on the assigned project. Critical Thinking Be able to identify technical issues as applicable arising from project activities and come up with feasible approaches to addressing those issues. The ECE department is soliciting applications for a student assistant position. On this position the student assistant will assist a faculty member in conducting research on extreme-terrain navigation utilizing VHF real-time video- and AI-based path planning for autonomous driving. Both graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in electrical engineering and computer engineering. Hands-on experience in computer networking and embedded systems. Proficiency in programming using Python and C/C Proficiency and hand-on experience in Linux operating systems.
