Job Title: Journeyman Industrial Sheet Metal Mechanic
Location: Decatur AL

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $23-$27 per hour (DOE) Benefits

United Trades of America is a leading industrial services provider specializing in mechanical construction and maintenance across multiple sectors including manufacturing energy and infrastructure. Were looking for experienced dependable and safety-oriented Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fabricate assemble install and repair sheet metal products and equipment (ductwork hoods chutes tanks etc.)
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools power tools shears brakes and welding equipment to cut shape and assemble metal
- Ensure work is performed according to company and OSHA safety standards
- Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance as required
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers on job sites
- Follow layout and work orders and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Sheet Metal certification or equivalent experience
- 4 years of industrial sheet metal experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Proficient in layout cutting forming welding and installation of sheet metal
- Experience working with stainless steel aluminum and galvanized materials
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs work at heights and operate aerial lifts as needed
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and PPE use
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Welding certifications (TIG/MIG/Stick)
- Experience in shutdowns turnarounds or heavy industrial projects
